Prior to obtaining his doctoral degree in Chiropractic Dr. Joe attended Clarion University where he obtained a Bachelors of Science in Geology and a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Geoscience. He is also certified in Webster technique, Nimmo, RockBlades, and RockTape. Additionally he is  currently working towards his Birthfit Certification and becoming Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  In his free time Dr. Joe enjoys playing inline and ice hockey, video games, and playing guitar.

From Dr. Joe, "I've always believed the body is capable of healing itself given the right environment and resources. While going to school I learned how the Chiropractic adjustment can help the body's nervous system help maintain a healthy balance between the parasympathetic nervous system (Rest and Digest) and the sympathetic nervous system (Fight or Flight). Chiropractic is a safe option for people who are experiencing pain and who are looking for other options besides drugs or surgery. I've always had the desire to help people and Chiropractic has given me the opportunity to do so. The body is pretty cool and can do some amazing things if given the opportunity."

Mikayla Markle - Chiropractic Assistant

Mikayla Markle grew up in Emlenton PA. She was married in the Summer of 2018 and moved to Franklin with my husband. Mikayla grew up being a gymnast, cheerleader, dancer, and has also been practicing yoga and Pilates for 5 years. Her love for an active lifestyle now translates into her job, where she gets to help people improve their health and well being through stretching and exercising. She began working for Dr. Kate in the fall of 2018 and is excited to be part of the team! Dr. Kate trained her on certain exercises based on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) as well as how to use foam rollers and other myofascial release tools. She also puts patients on and off traction.  Mikayla attended the BIRTHFIT Coach seminar in 2019 with Dr. Kate and is also working on her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification. We will be incorporating some DNS based breath and flow yoga classes at the office in 2019.
